Scholarships

Italian_language

NBICF established a College Scholarship Program in 1986. More than $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded. Scholarships promote Italian-inspired and Italian Language studies for Santa Rosa Junior College students. Scholarship recipients are asked to volunteer in some capacity at an NBICF event.

The NBICF Scholarships are offered to students of Italian Language Studies in the Fall & Spring Semesters. NBICF will award three $500 scholarships to students of Italian 1, 2, 3 or 4 for the Spring Semester 2017.  Click here to view the application procedure. The deadline for applications is Friday, February 24,

The Marianne Pedroncelli Scholarship Fund was established in 1996 at the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) with a donation of $10,000. This scholarship of $425 will be awarded to students in any discipline in which the student’s academic pursuits have a direct link to Italy or the Italo-American experience.   Click here to view the application procedure. The deadline for applications is March 3, 2017.

The Jeanette Mancini Mitchell Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 at the Santa Rosa Junior College with a donation of $5,000. Additional donations of more than $14,000 were received in 2015. The scholarship is for future educators with a course in Italian or an Italy Study Abroad experience. This scholarship of $700 will be awarded Spring Semester 2017. Italy Study Abroad Scholarship is awarded every other year to students furthering their education through study in Italy. This scholarship will be awarded in 2017.
